Lindesberg Volleyball Update

Soo we have had a busy and eventful past 3 weeks, maybe more like 5 weeks actually. A lot going on for Lindesberg Volley. We are now officially done with regular season. Marcie and Nirelle had a family emergency and went home for 2 weeks missing Engelholm and Gislaved. They returned for Hylte, which ended up being Marcie’s last game as she left to play in Puerto Rico yesterday as well as taking Nadya out with an injury. Now we will be able to try some different options and arrangements as far as our line up for playoffs go and see how superfan LIndeMan (aka Eryk) will evolve to support us for playoffs

We finished up regular season with some tough losses…

Engelholm at home

Luckily we have had a very strong spring so we put ourselves in a good position for playoffs.

Finishing #4 in the Swedish Elite Serie

You receive 3 points for each win and 2 points for each win in a 5 game set, 1 point if you lose a 5 game set.

We played 18 games with 10 wins and 8 losses. Won 38 sets and lost 29. Receiving a total of 32 points.

So how playoffs work here is…

The top 4 teams pick who they play out of the 5-8 teams and the bottom 2 teams play to stay in elite series. #1 team having 1st, then #2, etc So we ended up getting matched with Sollentuna. Each team plays a best of 5 series with the higher ranked team hosting the first home game.

So our playoff schedule so far is…

Sunday March 14 at 5pm in Lindesberg.

Wednesday March 17 at 7pm in Sollentuna

Sunday March 21 at 2pm in Lindesberg
